It's the Freakn' World Series

The Rockies made it to the World Series after sweeping the AZ Diamondbacks. Nobody expected them to do so well, but we were thrilled when they did. So thrilled that we all planned on getting online as soon as the tickets were available so we could buy as many as possible. If we were lucky we could all go to a live World Series games,if we were really lucky we could sell the tickets for buco bucks! So there we all were, poised at our computers, ready to buy, buy, buy! Precisely at 12 noon we all began to buy. We all sat clicking over and over again for hours to no avail. It seemed that we had not been one of the lucky ones to get tickets. Finally after hours of attempting and many phone calls between Alexander's we gave up. Later that night we saw on the news that the Rockies site had crashed in the first 90 seconds! And we sat there like a bunch of dolts clicking, clicking, clicking! But this was actually good news, this meant that we had a second chance at the prize we all so desired. The next day we again were at our desks ready to buy. Sadly we found ourselves frustrated again. Instead of no response some of us (Darrin and Jen) were able to get to the shopping page but only to be kicked out. Then the news came down, Jen had tickets! "Are you sure?' , "How many?', "What day?" It gave us hope so the rest of us continued, "Jen has more tickets!", "What?" That's right Jen got into the shopping page several times and bought 4 tickets for 2 games! Somehow Jen was able to repeatedly get into the site and was the only one with any luck at all. She was kind enough to give them to Sherman, Stevie, Scott and Spencer. She had even sacrificed her sleep, she had just gotten off of a graveyard shift and stayed up to buy the tickets - what a woman! Sadly the Rockies got swept by the Boston RedSox, where is that curse when you need it? Oh well, we still are proud to be National Champs and still have our version of a World Series story.
