Good Things Come to Those who Wait, and wait, and wait, and ...

I finally got it! It only took 6 years, but finally DK came through and bought me my car! When we started our search I was certain that I wanted a Pilot. Then Colette said to try the Tahoe - then I wanted a Tahoe! It was big and cushy! Then we looked into the consumer reports on the cars we were investigating and the Pilot was untouchable! It is unmatched in safety, reliability and price! So then began the work out with the dealers! Darrin hates this part! We worked over Willey Honda, Larry H Honda and Ken Garff Honda, finally we decided to just buy a used Pilot. We found the one we wanted and I was on the way to the bank when Ken Garff called and said they would do what they could to get us into the EXL Pilot. So, I laid out some requirements that I knew they couldn't meet. 10 minutes later he called back and said they could do it! SHOCK! I went down after I picked the kids up from school and got my shiny new car! I even got the color I wanted. The boys love it and Darrin likes that we can put the children in what amounts to the trunk. I am simply in heaven and feel very spoiled to have the car my instincts told me was the best! We can now take 3 extra people with us. We are looking forward to our first road trip in March to Arizona!

A little bit of info on the Pilot:
The Honda Pilot blends the best features of an SUV, wagon, and minivan. You'll find a comfortable ride, responsive handling, quick acceleration, a versatile and well-designed interior, and good fuel economy for a midsized SUV. Curtain air bags, covering all three rows, are standard for 2006.
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE The Pilot provides a comfortable ride. It's steady and nicely controlled, and absorbs bumps and road ridges with muted kicks. The cabin is quiet. 40-foot turning circle makes it easy to maneuver in tight places. The 244-hp, 3.5-liter V6 delivers smooth, powerful performance. The responsive five-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Maximum towing capacity is 4,500 pounds for boat trailers and 3,500 for other trailers. INSIDE THE CABIN The Pilot's interior is well designed, exhibiting excellent attention to detail. The front seats are well shaped and comfortable, and all our drivers could find a good driving position. Cabin storage is generous. You'll find seven sturdy cup holders, two each for the front and middle seats and three in the way-back. . RELIABILITY We expect reliability to be much better than average, according to our latest subscriber survey.

We are so jealous! We have looked at these cars and love them, but obviously we are way to poor to afford one. It is so nice and I love the color! Good work!
