So, what is in a coconut anyway? We found out today. Darrin bought one for the boys and boy did it turn into a project! We found out that the liquid inside is water not milk - getting the milk involves grating, cheese cloth and squeezing. We (Darrin) grated, toasted and sweetened it. Darrin even got Gavin to try the water and the finished coconut. Eathan was of course all over trying something new! We have a finished product now we just need a great recipe to use it on! The whole thing was on video which we will post as soon as Darrin figures out our new video program.

Sounds like fun---we learned about the milk process in Hawaii at the Polynesian Culture Center at Christmas, but we haven't had the hands on experience like you guys.
