Not Just for Old People Anymore!

Our spring vacation began by driving to St George. We thought that on our way to Arizona we would spend of few days with Spencer. Spencer has a very nice house and he was a great host. He even gave up his bed for Darrin and I and slept with the boys in the living room - what a guy. huh? We arrived on Sunday the 9th and spent the evening relaxing and then went to dinner.

When we got up on Monday we headed for Snow Canyon. It was a good start to the day. Spencer had made breakfast for us. I thought that Snow Canyon was named "Snow" because it is white and all of the mountains around it are red, but it is actually named after Lorenzo Snow. The canyon is really neat and fun to hike around in.

There are lava caves and of course the boys and Darrin were all for crawling down and exploring, Katie and I stayed up top and waited. It wasn't a very ling wait though because they didn't have flashlights and Darrin hit his head , so that was the end of that fun.

After we hiked for half the day we went to lunch. Then Darrin decided he wanted an iPod outlet hooked up in the Pilot so we spent the rest of the day waiting for that. Spencer was not about to sit in a car dealership so we pretended to test drive a car and used it to take him home. In the end the iPod hook was jerry rigged and so we told them to take it back out and we went back to Spencer's. Later that night we went swimming. That night we got upset stomachs and puked all night - not fun. So on Tuesday we just stayed at home and recouped. All in all it was a very fun trip and we can't wait to plan another trip to see Spenc. He has a nice little set up down there and knows how to treat his guests!
